Next on our list of spooky season sensory bins is a skeleton pick up! We used Halloween themed items and mixed them in our bin. The twist is that you can use your hands and the skeleton hand to pick up the items. This sensory bin helps your child’s motor skills while sorting through different items.
What you’ll need
Orange shredded paper
Foam spiders
Foam skeleton heads
Foam pumpkins
A bowl
A skeletons hand
Start by adding the orange shredded paper to the bottom of your bin. Add your foam Halloween pieces into the bin. Add a bowl and skeleton handS
Activities
Have your child sort the items by category. Example “hand me all of the pumpkins”
Have your child count how many of each item there is. Example “how many spiders are there?”
We hope you have tons of fun using your skeleton hand. Come back next week to see what the next Halloween themed bin will be.
